Compatible Ethernet adapters:

The only unofficial USB ethernet adapter known to work on Wii uses the Asix AX88772 chip.
Please inform about others products and chips compatible with Wii and which devices you have already tested negative.

I can confirm that I have a working adapter, bought in the UK at a local computer shop (cheap:), it is a "Vivanco - High Speed USB 2.0 Fast Ethernet Adapter". on the bottom it has "EDV-NR.12272" and the serial is "S/N:GW060100382". I only tried it in the Wii because I saw a photo of the Airlink ASOHOUSB and it is exactly the same shape, a power and link light on the top, etc. I'm guessing this is the UK/Euro version of the same product. Anyway, it works, the Wii picked up a DHCP address straight away and then auto-downloaded an update in about 10 secs! I'm chuffed, and so hurry up and get one before they double the price.
