Tüm Avrupa tarafından kabul görmüş bir otomobil programı olan Top Gear her sene çok detaylı bir survey yapar.

2006 yılı sonuçlarını alttaki linkten görebilirsiniz.Sonuç olarak bir Fiat 8.olabilirken en yukarıdaki fransız arabası 88.sıradaki Renault Modus ve çok kaliteli olduğu iddia edilen Megane'da 152 araç içerisinde 149. sırada.

Sonuç olarak bu Linea'yı daha güzel bir araba ya da Megana'dan iyi yapmaz ama fiyat/performans çizelgesine göre kesinlikle daha iyi bir arabadır.Tasarımı/içi,malzeme kalitesi yenilikçi motorları kesinlikle iyidir. Sunduğu güvenlik ve yaratıcı teknolojilerirakiplerinde ya hiç yoktur ya da 50m uzeri fiyatlara dayayanan versiyonlarda sunulmaktadır.
Kalite konusunda senelerdir yapılan istatsitiklere göre fransız hurdalarından kötü olmayı başaran zaten çıkmamıştır.Bu surveylerin detaylarını okumanızı ve gözünü açmanızı dilerim.Sonuçta 40 milyara 1.6l benzinli ESP si bile olmayan benzinli, kaliteli olduğu imajını veren ama gerçekte olmayan araba satmanın, 90 yıllardaki gibi hurdaları satmaktan bir farkı yoktur. Bir marka için imaj oluşturup öbürünü kötülerken gözünüzü biraz açıp gerçekleri görmekte de yarar vardır.

Ayrıca kalitenin fiyatla bire bir ilişkisinin olmadığı da ortadadır.Bir Mercedes her şart altında bir Fiat'tan kalitelidir ancak bir Merceden kullanıcısın ödediği yüksel bedel karşılığında beklentiside yüksektir ve karşılanamadığında da bu survey de olduğu gibi dibi boylayabilmektedir.Özetle kalite pahalidir ancak ödenen yüksek bedel kalite eşiğini ve beklentileri de yukarı çekmektedir.a
