Amazon, David Cronenberg‘ün aynı adlı filminden uyarlanacak Dead Ringers‘a doğrudan onayını 2020'de vermişti. 1988 yapımı orijinal filmde Jeremy Irons, aynı kadınla ilişkiye başlayan ikiz jinekologları canlandırmıştı.

Dizi versiyonda ise Rachel Weisz, Mantle ikiz kardeşlere hayat verecek.Mantle’lar her şeylerini paylaşıyorlar: İlaçlarını, sevgililerini ve ne gerekiyorsa yapma arzularını. İkizler, modası geçmiş uygulamalara kafa tutarken kadın sağlığını ön plana çıkarma çabası verecek ve tıp etiğinde sınırları zorlayacaklar.
