Fenbendazole capsules belongs to the benzimidazole family. The chemical formula is C15H13N3O2S. It has a broad spectrum of activity and it can be used against a wide range of parasitic infections caused by protozoan parasites, including various roundworm and pinworm infestations, as well as giardiasis. Fenbendazole capsules has been mainly used as an antihelminthic agent. It is not only effective against many intestinal nematodes, including common roundworms, hookworms, pinworms and whipworms, but also against the flukes Fasciola hepatica and "Clonorchis sinensis". It is also used to treat some protozoal infections caused by agents such as "Entamoeba histolytica", Giardia lamblia, and Trichomonas vaginalis. 

Other uses of fenbendazole capsules are as an antiparasitic drug in the treatment of demodectic mange, also known as coccidiosis, scabies, otitis externa, dermatophytosis. Fenbendazole capsules is part of the second group of anthelmintics, which are agonists at receptors. Anthelmintics are often used in combination to increase their effectiveness. It is used in veterinary medicine to control internal parasites, primarily as a triazole derivative fenbendazole or praziquantel.
